Animalia Terracotta Vase by Vicara

The Animalia Vase is a beautiful and unique, limited edition, hand painted vase. Large and eye-catching, the Animalia terracotta vase looks fantastic with a bunch of flowers in but is equally bold and brilliant enough to look terrific without flowers. A work of art, animals and human figures are mixed in this colourful ceramic vase that will add energy and a sense of life to any room or setting in your home.  

Made by talented artisans in the Alentejo region of Portugal, each of the limited edition vases, limited to 40 in the first edition, is individually made and then hand painted by Elisabete Francisco with an illustration designed by Mariana Malhão. Once painted the vase is glazed, preserving the artwork and protecting the terracotta. The stunning Animalia Vase forms part of a collection of products that draws inspiration from traditional Portuguese pottery.

The handmade vase stands at 35cm tall and measures 23cm in diameter, making it a large vase that will have an even larger impact. This unique vase would make a wonderful, original gift. As each vase is individually made by hand there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process.
