Hex Carafe by HUTA

£22.00 - Sold Out

The Hex Carafe is inspired by the elegant lines of brutalist and modernist architecture. This fantastic carafe is a simple design which will look great on your table. The shape is not only visually striking but is also designed to allow maximum oxidation of red wine through its generous proportions. The carafe will also work equally well for other wines and soft drinks. These stunning carafes are designed in England and handmade in the South-East of Poland, a region renowned for beautiful glassware. The Hex wine Carafes are made from thin soda-lime glass by expertly skilled glassblowers, due to the fact they are handblown tiny variations can occur between carafes. The carafe is perfect for wine or water at dinner parties or getting the most out of your mid week glass of wine. The Hex Carafes are from London based contemporary glassware brand, HUTA. HUTA glassware ranges are created to three criteria. They must be beautiful, they must be functional and they really must not cost the earth. These affordable carafes can be put in a dishwasher although they will retain their shine and last longer if washed by hand in warm, soapy water using a non abrasive sponge.

HUTA was started by Inez Kochanowicz-Watson and her husband, Jack. Together, they design glassware for the home, from glasses and carafes to storage jars and milk jars. Every HUTA design is distinctive and unique, which is particularly difficult in such a crowded category. Jack and Inez work with a small, family-run glassblowing business in the south of Poland to turn their designs into beautiful and functional products. The word HUTA means factory in Polish. More specifically, it’s a factory where material (metal or glass) is melted to be formed into products.

The Huta designs are influenced by everyday life, mixed with inspiration from the things around us that we know and love. The geometric beauty of brutalist architecture. The timeless functionality of traditional storage vessels. The elegant restraint of classic Scandinavian design. Huta's mission is to combine all of their experience and knowledge into honest and unique products that tell a story and excite their customers.
