The Reed storage baskets are traditional Moroccan reed baskets handwoven using natural reeds and featuring sturdy sisal handles. Beautiful, practical and versatile the reed baskets can be used for any number of things. This might be storage around the house, from toiletries in the bathroom or the pile of mail and clutter on your kitchen side, to a collection of magazines and books in the sitting room. Alternatively, they make great small and sturdy baskets for carrying your market purchases on your shopping trip or in the garden when collecting freshly picked flowers or the produce of your veg patch. However, my favourite is using them to hide your plain plant pots and turn your house plants into effortlessly stylish, decorative green displays! Their use is limited by imagination only! The Reed storage baskets come in three different sizes and whilst they are sold individually, if all three sizes are purchased they can sit as a nest of three. The baskets are by Bohemia, an Edinburgh based company founded in 2006 by Jenny Lockton. Bohemia is the culmination of years of experience working with artists and craftspeople around the world. Jenny established the business to ensure the survival of awe-inspiring traditional crafts by building relationships with artisan producers and through these collaborations helping to support meaningful employment in countries often lacking in opportunities.
