A beautiful French style wooden rolling pin made from Cherry wood. Traditional French rolling pins have tapered ends making them look a bit like a baguette. Whilst this does make the rolling pins look fantastic there is also a good reason for it. The special tapered shape provides greater control over the movement of the pin which helps when making thiner pastry and also when wanting to roll pastry into circles. Whilst we don't know much about pastry, we know we like French pastry and so this sounds like a good idea to us. Each rolling pin is hand turned in Cherry wood and then finished with a special wood balm made from organic beeswax and oil, making them extremely tactile and providing the wood with a rich golden brown colour. A thing of beauty, the pins have been carefully and lovingly made by Christopher Viviani of Clod & Pebble. Christopher is a trained sculptor whose work is a step away from the mundane and lifeless mass produced wares often seen. Instead, Christopher's work is a celebration of individuality and uniqueness. Christopher believes in creating homeware that is original and affordable. He designs and makes each piece by hand in his studio in Scotland.
