Chroma Speckled Mug - Orange by Casa Cubista

This beautiful handmade mug is sure to bring a sense joy to the start of your day. The Chroma mug has been hand thrown from terracotta, coated with a crisp white glaze and then hand painted with orange and tangerine spatter to make this fantastic, bright and uplifting artisan mug. Created on a pottery wheel by Portuguese craftsmen the unique mugs will make your cups of tea or coffee an even more special and cheerful occasion. 

Designed by Casa Cubista, a company passionate about contemporary design, craftsmanship and Portuguese heritage. The ceramics range is all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina. Bold and colourful, the Chroma collection makes a nice change to the more muted tones and simple designs usually seen in tableware.

Before first use, wash the mugs with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the mugs (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that the mug is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
