The Oblo bulb is a striking, low energy porcelain LED light bulb. The statement glass shape combined with intricate LED filament structures sets the Oblo bulb apart from traditional light bulbs. The bulbs have been carefully calibrated to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whilst low energy bulbs are more expensive to buy, Tala bulbs are 90% more efficient than traditional incandescent lighting and have a minimum life span of 30,000 hours (i.e. 10.27 years at 8 hours a day). More than just a bulb, the dimmable Oblo bulb is a statement light fixture in itself and is perfect for use above kitchen counters or as bedside, hallway and sitting room pendants, they can also be used as either a single light or in clusters and go very well with our brass pendant. Tala is a young British lighting brand with a mission to create exquisite products and accelerate the low carbon economy with thoughtful product design and transparent practices. From the outset the company established a Ten Trees programme, a commitment to plant 10 trees for every 200 products sold. Although their ​products are fundamentally sustainable, they wanted to ensure that the business as a whole is carbon-neutral. To do this, Tala have partnered with The Heart of England Forest to build and protect a vast new unbroken woodland in the middle of England. To date they have contributed to the planting of 9,000 trees and are well on the way to reach their target of 35,000 trees by April 2018.
